Once I copy the MTS files to a computer, what files are safe to erase before using the SD card again? Getting rid of the MTS files frees up most of the space, but do the "CPI", "CED", "BDM", "MPL" and "DAT" files, etc. The MTS files seem to be the only ones that ultimately do anything, and they require some sort of conversion to play nicely on the Macs. The video clips are created in "MTS" format, and there are a whole bunch of small files created on the SD card, along w/ the big MTS files. moving that video to our Mac(s) is another story, then figuring out how to "process" it is yet another story. Picked up a JVC Everio SD/flash memory based videocam, and it seems to work OK as far as taking video.
